NEW DELHI: ‘Titanship’ stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Winslet have been joined in the Indian film industry by several other well-known names such as actor Shah Rukh Khan, film producer Shashank Joshi, director Mukesh Ambani and musician T.R. Khan.
According to reports, the two stars were invited to join a film festival at the ‘Toona’ gallery in Mumbai and they were the first to receive invitations.
It is said that the two were accompanied by actress Anushka Sharma, who is also a director and a producer.
The festival was organised by the India Film Academy, an organisation that is tasked with helping film producers, producers and actors of Indian cinema.
It also hosts events in which the filmmakers of films such as ‘Mumbai Stories’ and ‘Salaam Bazaar’ participate.
Earlier this month, the festival organisers had announced the winners of an awards ceremony for the best film in the category ‘Best New Indian Cinema’.
The winner will be announced on August 29.
Earlier, the film ‘Tribes’, starring Liam Neeson, was nominated for the Oscar.
The film was directed by Shashan Shah and co-starring T. R. Khan, who will be seen playing the role of a warrior.
In April this year, Shah Rukhsaw won an Oscar for best actor for his performance as Shah Rukhan in ‘Mushishi’ at the Oscars.
