NEW DELHI: The first Foosanier exhibition opened on Thursday at the metro art museum in New Delhi.
It is the first time the exhibition will be seen by visitors, a museum official said.
The artist, who was also known for his work on a wide range of subjects including architecture and architecture as well as landscapes, was commissioned to design the installation, which was designed by the architect and artist from the firm Jai Hind.
A show of his works in the Metro art museum is scheduled to open in July.
Foosanier’s work will be displayed in the gallery, which will be built on the site of a former station in central Delhi.
“We are happy to have been selected to design this new exhibition at Metro Art, which is the city’s first art museum and one of the first such projects in India,” said Jai Thakur, who headed the team that commissioned the artist.
The project was commissioned by the Metropolitan Art Museum.
“Metro Art Museum is a major cultural institution in the country, and it was an honor to have this opportunity to open a museum that can hold a show like this, which reflects the rich history of this city,” the artist said.
